Gertrude (grannie) Harris 75 born in Rocky Mount N.C., however resided in Winston-Salem, N.C. Gertrude graduated from Atkins high school and retired from Adams Mark. Gertrude was always a fun, loving, caring and quick to take care of others. She enjoyed dancing, music and having a good time with her close family and friends. She was always the life of the party. She was proceeded in death by her father and mother the late William Harris and Mary Harris. Also, her sister Gladys Harris and brother William Harris Jr. She was survived by her daughter Robin Harris, two grandsons Shaun (Tonniette) Harris, Jamal (Shawntee) Harris. Two loving nieces Tomeka Harris and Michelle Harris. Three great nephews William Bell Jr., Kendrick Taylor Jr. and Kamron Taylor. Seven great grandkids Nautica (T'Ari) McCoy, Kentrell (KJ) Wilson, Lashonda Harris, Lacey Harris, Laila Harris, Egypt Jackson, Ledgen Harris and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. A private memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
