Glen Donnell Mitchell born September 16th, 1955, in Welch West Va. to Mattie J Thomas Harmon and Ben Mitchell. Glenn departed his life January 7th, 2023, Glen attended North Folk High School in West VA, He joined the United States Marines Corps where he receives a metal of honor. Glen was a lover of all sports He played football and basketball throughout his youth years. He loved traveling and making people smile. Glen joined First Calvary Baptist Church where he enjoyed the New Members class. Glen loved the Lord and having conversation with everyone about the Bible.
Glen departed this life January 7th, 2023, proceeded in death by his mother and father, grandparents Charles and Anna Bradsher. Also, a sister Carol and a son Jermaine Mitchell and a close brother-in-law Robert Claytor.

Glen left to cherish his memory a loving wife Barbara Mitchell, children Glen Mitchell Jr, Mattie Mitchell (Jerrel Bayce) and Jacquece (Terrel) Coleman Shamone (Martez) Gilmore, grandchildren Lavon Mitchell, Janiya and Jamiya, Penn, Jha'Maree Mitchell and Dejanay Brown Taliyah Coleman Za'riya Gilmore, Zoriana Gilmore, Martez Gilmore. and Keshaun Holley, His loving siblings Francine Claytor, Ben Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, and Ronald (Vanessa) Brasher.

I have fought the fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. A public viewing will be held Friday January 20, 2023, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1pm from First Calvary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 12:30pm at the church. Interment will follow Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Salisbury National Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
