Mr. Greg Lamont Smith departed this life May 29, 2021. He was 59. He was born June 12, 1961, in Winston-Salem, NC, to the late Jacob Ernest Eugene and Betty Bernice Smith. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia Smith; two sons Brandon Johnson (special friend Chyna Broadnax), of Kernersville, NC, DeMario Smith, of Walkertown, NC; one daughter, Bianca Burns (Dwight); one brother Rodney Smith (Willie Mae); four sisters, Carolyn Bailey of Winston-Salem, Pam Waynick, Annatoria Jones, and Ernestine Smith, all of Kernersville NC; two granddaughters, Madison Burns and Sage Johnson; one grandson, Justice Burns; father-in-law Michael Zach Johnson; four sisters-in-law Wanda Rivers (Joe), of Kernersville, NC, Mary Donald (Chester), of Cary, NC, Sandra Camel and Angela Brooks, both of Winston-Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, other close relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by brother Brian Smith; and mother-in-law Frances Johnson. He was a father figure to many young men and women over the years and will be greatly missed by all. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and sports car enthusiast. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 1pm from Douthit's and interment will follow in East Lawn Gardens of Memory in Kernersville. Family will receive friends at 12:30pm Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
