JAMES DEON WILLIAMS
Son of James L. and Lavetta Astrop Williams was born May 26, 1970 in Winston-Salem, NC. He departed this life January 6, 2021 in Los Angeles, California where he lived for the past 28 years. He graduated from R. J. Reynolds High School and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a TSA Officer for LAX International Airport. In addition to his parents, James leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, Deanna
K. Love of Charlotte, NC and Christie Williams-Harwell of Johns Creek, Ga, a host of relatives including the Williams, Astrop, and Peak families. He has many long-term relationships including Sonya Fletcher and Brian Singletary locally. There will be a local celebration of life for James sometime in the future. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in James honor to Crisis Control Ministries, 200 East Tenth Street, Winston Salem, NC 27101 or Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, 3655 Reed Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27107. A private memorial services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2021. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
