Mr. Jerry "Scoripo" Howard of 125 Ferrell Height Court Apt 214 departed his life on April 10, 2023. Jerry Howard was a 1969 graduate of Atkins High School of Winston-Salem, NC. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp, he served in the Vietnam War then later served 8 years in the United States Army Reserve as a Supplies Clark and Drill Instructor. After years of dedication the United States Military he later retired from Wake Forest University of 25 years as head chef. He is preceded in death by parents; William Gentry and Rebecca Howard as well as his brothers: Thomas Howard, Billy Howard and Larry Howard. Mr, Jerry leaves to cherish memories a sister Barbara Howard-Wilson, his sons: James A. Thompson, Shedrick Howard, Andrew Howard and Jarrott Howard all of the city. HE also leaves a host of grandchildren, one sister-in-law Annie Sims-Howard and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friends. A public viewing will be held Friday April 14, 2023, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's Funeral services will be held Saturday April 15, 2023, at 11:30 am at Douthit's. The family will receive at 11:00 am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
