SUNRISE: Jerry (Pete) Price, 68 was born October 20, 1955, in Siler City to the late William Harrison and Peggy Farrar Price.
SUNSET: He passed away peacefully on April 2, 2024, at Palliative Care/Novant Health Winston-Salem, NC with his family lovingly by his side.
He attended Pfeiffer University. He was retired from Forsyth County Youth Services.
His hobbies included fishing and playing on his keyboard and guitar all genres of music. He enjoyed singing, and he was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan; a member of the Tri-man Bowling League at Northside; member of Winston-Salem Stars softball team.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents William Harrison and Peggy Farrar Price and his brothers Neil Price and William (Bud) Price.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 35 years, Josephine (Jokey) Price, one son Jeremy (Andrea) Price, one daughter Tiffaney (Michael Sr.) Posey, four grandchildren: Jorden and Bryant Price; Tahlia and Michael Jr. Posey. Sisters: Gladys Foxx (Glenn) of Siler City, NC, Dorothy Harris of Sanford, NC, Penny Price of Siler City, Tammy Newby (Alex) of Siler City, NC, Tina Martin (Dawan) of Liberty, NC: Brother: Larry Price of Siler City, NC. Aunts: Blondean Jordan and Helen Glover of Siler City, NC., Uncle: Jawade Price of Siler City, NC, Sister In-Law: Callie Price of Bear Creek, NC, Nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
Jerry was a kind compassionate humorous and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by many lives he touched.
A public viewing will be held Monday April 8, 2024, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 11:30am from Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens, the family will receive friends at 11:00am Arrangement are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
