Mr. John Duffie Caldwell known as "Tubby" by family and friends was born July 31, 1963 in Newberry, South Carolina to John D. Caldwell and the late Julia K. Caldwell. He entered into Eternal Rest on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. He was a graduate of Newberry High School. He enjoyed being with his family, fishing and grilling. Mr. Caldwell is survived by sons, Arkevius Terrel Elkins and Joshua Ruff (Rokeisha) all of Newberry, SC; sisters, Kathy Wilson of Newberry, SC, Barbara Moore (Darren) of Lexington, SC, Andrea Sims (Rendell) and Cherie Caldwell all of Newberry, SC; brothers, Curtis Caldwell of Newberry, SC, Terry Caldwell (Rhonda) of Winston-Salem, NC, Craig Caldwell and Kenneth Caldwell both of Newberry, SC; four grandchildren, Kayden M. Elkins, Jamere Crooks, Makayla Crooks and Carmelo Counts, three aunts, Jesse Maybin, Ada Bookman (James) and Patricia Richardson all of Newberry, SC, one uncle, special cousin, Diane Bunn of Winston-Salem, NC other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home parking lot. All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing. Arrangements are in the care of F.B.Pratt Funeral Home in Newberry SC and Douthit Funeral Services.
