It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph Dwayne Moore on June 23, 2024.
Joseph, also known as "Buzzy" or "the Coca Cola man," was born on October 20, 1983. He was
the beloved son of Joey and Barbara Moore. He will be forever remembered by his loving
parents, sister Cecilia (Brent) West, and brother Michael Moore, as well as nieces Brelynn and
Carter West, and a host of aunts, uncles, and devoted cousins.
He was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents. Joseph attended Winston
Salem Forsyth County Schools and graduated from Forsyth Vocational High School in 2004.
Those who encountered Joseph immediately fell in love with his personality. He had a passion
for music, particularly Michael Jackson and Boyz II Men, and could often be found singing and
dancing. Joseph developed a love for Coca Cola after one of his hospitalizations as a young child
and frequently wore Coca Cola attire.
His loss leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, as he touched everyone he met. He is
survived by his parents, siblings, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. Funeral services will be held Monday July 1, 2024, at 11:30 am from Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 11:00am The remains may be viewing Monday July1, 2024 beginning at 10:00 am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
