Ms. Karen Arlene Glenn, 62 was born February 6, 1959. She was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina to Mr. Charlie G. Glenn Sr. and Mrs. Mattie Douthit Glenn. She was the baby of four children. Ms. Glenn departed this life October 24, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center after a short period of illness. Ms. Glenn was a 1977 graduate of RJ Reynolds High School and 1980 graduate of Forsyth Tech Community College. She was a faithful member of Goler Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, where she participated in the following organizations: Stewardess Board, Home Missions, WHOM Society, Board of Christian Education, and Lay Council. Ms. Glenn was preceded in death by her father Mr. Charlie G. Glenn Sr., Nephew Brian C. Ross, and Great-Nephew Malilk R. Glenn. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her best friend and devoted daughter, Brandi Camille Glenn; devoted mother, Mattie Douthit Glenn; two sisters Linda D. Glenn and Carol G. Ross; one brother Charlie G. Glenn Jr. (Dounce); two nephews Rodney T. Ross, Charlie G. Glenn III; one niece Heather G. Scales and 4 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. two aunts Mrs. Dorothy G. Hill and Mrs. Irene A. Douthit; special friend Sharon J. Buford; and many cousins, other relatives and friend. A public viewing will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private funeral services will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Douthit's and interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
