Karen W. Greene, 51, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away on February 8, 2025, at home, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Karen was born on February 25, 1973, in Winston-Salem to Kerry Greene and Stephanie Goodson. She dedicated her life to caring for others, working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and later earning the title of Med Aide. With over 30 years of experience, she provided compassionate care to the injured and elderly, touching countless lives with her kindness and dedication.

Karen was known for her love of community and had a deep love for family, friendship, and Charlie Brown. She brought warmth and joy to those around her, always offering a helping hand and a kind heart. She believed in the power of kindness and never hesitated to put others before herself. Her love for Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang reflected her appreciation for simple joys, nostalgia, and the lessons of love, perseverance, and friendship.

She is survived by her daughters, Jakiya Greene and Jayla Greene (Brandon); her siblings, Paul Corley (Sonya), Susan Greene, Kerry Greene, Talisa Greene, Taurean Little, and Vernon Brunson. She was preceded in death by her eldest daughter, Jabrea Greene, both of her parents, and several other beloved relatives.

The love Karen shared with the world will never fade. She found strength in her faith, wisdom in scripture, and joy in the friendships she built wherever she went. Though she worked tirelessly, she always reminded those around her to slow down and appreciate life's blessings. Her family and friends will forever cherish the moments spent with her and honor her memory by carrying forward the kindness, dedication, and love she so freely gave. A public viewing will be held Friday February 14, 2025, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 15, 2025, at 1pm from Friendship Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 12:30 pm. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
