Kenneth Ross Barnes, (Kenny) was born May 1, 1960. He was
born to the proud parents of the late Hazel and Arlevia Barnes.
On August 15, 2020. the Angels who were entrusted to care for
him, carried him away from the woes of this world. They tool him to the
land of no more suffering and pain.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Arlevia
Barnes and one sister Betty J. Barnes. He was a member of Pleasant
View Baptist Church, of Winston-Salem, NC.
Kenny Barnes received his education at West Forsyth High
School. He retired from the City of Winston-Salem Sanitation Department.
He leaves to cherish his memories: (one son), Tyrone Williams
(Andrea), (two daughters), Matika Peters and Kishaunta Barnes. Two
grandchildren, Caleb Williams and Kater Barnes. (three brothers), Donnie Pelham, Gary Barnes (Tonya), Mark Barnes (Deborah), (five sisters),
Ellen Barnes, Hazel Barnes Blackmon, Gloria Barnes (Charles), Crystal
Hardy (Ricky), Michelle Barnes (Darren). Kenny has a host of nephews,
nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Garfield for
taking care of our brother, Kenneth Barnes, We like to recognize his
close and dedicated friends, Joe Malachi and Bobby Montgomery. A public viewing will take place Thursday, August 20, 2020 2pm until 5pm. A private funeral will be held Friday, August 21, 2020. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
