Obituary

On September 22, 2021, at 12:14am Linda Celeste Anderson, 71, received her heavenly wings while surrounded by her loved ones. Linda was born June 10, 1950, to the late Tommy and Margret Smith. She was a native of Manhattan New York, NY. After moving to Winston Salem, North Carolina Linda attended the Winston Salem Forsyth County School System. Linda was described as a bundle of joy, laughter, love, and strength. She was passionate about her family from a very young age. Linda was a very loving mom, strong sister, and very independent woman. Early in her career, she worked for R. J. Reynolds and The Royal Cake Company. She was even loved by kids that were not her own and would feed anyone. She had no problem with taking in strangers. Linda was her family's biggest cheerleader and constant supporter. Our family would not be where we are today if we didn't have our mother in our life. Cherish and love you mom every chance you have. Linda met Bobby Cobbs in 1990, who was very supportive of her and stood by her side for 31yrs.Linda C. Anderson was preceded in death by her parents Tommy and Margret Smith, a host of Aunts and Uncles. She leaves behind four children's, Trina Miller, Leo Cannon III, Terrance Cannon, and Terrice Spring. Three sisters, Patricia McMoore, Susan Smith, Donna Smith, and Bobby Cobbs; 13 grandchildren, 10 great – grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews; cousins; and friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 1pm from Reveal Church of Christ 2700 Old Greensboro Road. There will be no public viewing, Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
