Linda Jean Samuels, age 76, of Winston-Salem, NC, went to her heavenly home on May 8, 2024. Born on June 23, 1947, in Winston-Salem, she is survived by her devoted daughter, Jessica Shepard (Rodney); cherished granddaughter, Katelyn Williams (Rodney); adored grandson, Nicholas Shepard; and precious great-granddaughter, Juliette Williams. She also has a host of loving siblings, nieces, and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Washington and Edna Samuels and her brother, Kenneth Carrethers.

Linda dedicated 30 years of her life to serving as a nurse at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Her caring and nurturing nature touched the lives of many during her career and her personal life. Linda was known for her beautiful smile, her love of laughter and her nurturing spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Service will be held on Monday, May 13th at 7:00pm, at Hope Community Church, 4660 Brownsboro Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27106.The family will receive friends at 6:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions, in Linda's memory, to: The Williams Adult Day Center, 114 W. 30th St, Ste 400, Winston-Salem, NC 27105.A memorial service will be held Monday May 13, 2024, at 7pm from Hope Community Church. The family will receive friends from 6pm until 7pm at the church. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
