Mrs.Martha "Ray" Stephens Moody was born November 21, 1939 to the late Earl and Lucille Stephens in Fairmont, NC. She departed this life Friday June 9, 2023 at Novant Hospital in Kernerevile, NC . Mrs.Moody retired from R. J Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband Tommy Lee Moody. She is survived by her children Vickie (Jerome) Chandler, Bobby (Jackie) Moody, Lourrie (Reginald) Thomas, Kenneth Moody and Bobby Moody, Jr of the home. Nine grandchildren, eight-teen great grandchildren. Her sister's Emma Jones, and Mary Dean, her brother's Johnny Stephens, Frankie Stephens, Herbert Stephens and Glen Stephens. One brother-in-law Willie Moody. A host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. A public viewing will be held Thursday June 15, 2023 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Friday June 16, 2023 at 12pm from Union Baptist Church and interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at 11:00am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
