On July 29, 2021 God call Mary Patricia Thomas Carpenter lovingly known as "Miss Pat to her heavenly home. Mary was born February 1, 1949 to the late John Thomas and Arletha Coleman. Mary started her journey with Christ at a very early age under the the guidance of Rev. Walter A. and Ethel Coleman at St. Mark Baptist Church. Later in life, Mary joined United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Sidney R. Carpenter Sr. She is survived by her sons James W. (Megena) Thomas, Sidney R. (Lynette) Carpenter Jr., Christopher A. (Kim) Carpenter and Curtis (Rhonda) Clark, her sister Barbara Harriett and two beloved cousins Shirley White Flemmings, Steveson White and many grand great children. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11:00am in the chapel of Douthit's. There will be no public viewing Arrangements are are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
