Obituary
Mrs. Mary Cook Edmond was born July 24, 1944 to William and
Lucile Cook in Pulaski, VA. She departed this earthly life on July 21,
2020.
Mary Edmond moved to Winston-Salem, NC as a young adult
and that's where she met the love of her life, Bobby Ray Edmond.
In addition to her parents, William and Lucile Hicks. She was
preceded in death by 1 daughter, 2 Sisters, 2 Brothers, and 3 nephews.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 46 years,
Bobby Ray Edmond, 2 Children Shelia Marie Cook and Veronica Denise
Cook, 3 Sisters Valerie Cook, Mary Epps (John), and Mary Sawyer
(Greg), 1 Sister-in law Pearl Cook, 8 grandchildren, and 17 great
grandchildren, and most of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who
loved her dearly.
Our mother, wife, confidant and grandmother, our glue that kept
us together has one strong family, has left us, but her life lessons, value
and character will never be forgotten. A public viewing will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 from 2pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020.
