Monica Lynette Thomas was born in Winston-Salem, NC March 13, 1972, to Pamela McCoy and Thomas Terry, Jr. On June 27, 2024, Monica received her heavenly wings. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Terry Jr.; sister, Thomasina Terry; brother, Thomas Terry III, and a special uncle, James Terry. Monica attended the Winston -Salem/Forsyth County Schools She had been employed in various jobs. She enjoyed being with her family, especially her children, and doing things for her friends and other people. She leaves a legacy of love to her mother Pamela (Lester); daughter, Katilyn Sherrill ; three sons, Michael (Joyce), Chrishon and Ke'juan Thomas; three brothers, Ronald (Tabritha), Derrick (Regina) Thomas and Thomas Rogers; six sisters, Katie Monroe, Barbara, Annie, Regina, and Melissa Terry; one grandson, Ashton Wilson Thomas and a host of aunts, uncles, and a very special aunt, Minnie Lou Pemberton, whom she loved dearly. She also leaves to cherish her memories, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A public viewing will be held Friday July 5, 2024, from 1pm until 5 pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 6, 2024, at 11:00am from Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 10:30am Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
