Mrs. Mozelle Hampton Caesar, 89, was called unto the promised rest of God on March 17, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mozelle was born August 7, 1935, in Advance, North Carolina, to Jessie D. Hampton and Lossie J. Hampton. She attended public schools in Winston-Salem.
On May 16, 1957, Mozelle married Jimmy Caesar at Union Chapel. Mozelle was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and family member.
She worked as a domestic for Salem College during the 1970s and through hard work and prayers was promoted to Housekeeping Supervisor at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in January 1986. Mozelle retired from Forsyth Memorial Hospital in 1999.
Mozelle believed in keeping a clean home and cooking daily. On Saturdays you could find her in the kitchen, in her apron or house coat cooking or baking for Sunday. Mozelle always encouraged her family to "keep a piece by" (save money) and often sent her kids and/or grandkids home with a "Polk" (small bag of various foods) and a few dollars. She always said exactly what she felt, and regardless of the circumstances, you knew you were loved, cared about, and prayed for.
For over 60 years, Mozelle was a loyal and faithful member of Kimberly Park Holiness Church, where she served tirelessly in many roles. She was a member of the Mothers Board, and Sunday School Teacher, and the Joy and Faith Ministry. She found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life.
