In Loving Memory of Alfonzo "Chuckie" Moore Jr.

Alfonzo Moore Jr., lovingly known to his family and friends as "Chuckie," "Chuck," and "Pork Chop," was born on the beautiful day of September 1, 1965, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to his loving parents, Alfonzo and Gloria Moore. On August 16, 2026, God called Chuck home and granted him his wings, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, cherished memories, and countless lives he touched along the way.

Chuck was a man who had a special way of bringing joy wherever he went. His personality, sense of humor, and ability to make people laugh were gifts that he shared freely with everyone around him. His smile and infectious laughter could brighten even the hardest of days.

Chuck was a dedicated employee of Publix Super Market, where he truly loved his work and cherished the relationships he formed with his coworkers. To those who worked alongside him, Chuck was more than a colleague—he was a friend and a source of happiness. His coworkers described him as someone who brought laughter and humor to the workplace every day, saying.

"He was simply like a ray of sunshine and will be greatly missed." Chuck's presence made a difference, and the memories he created there will remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Long before he became the loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, cousin, and friend that so many treasured, Chuck was a gifted and passionate athlete. In his younger years, he was a star football player for the Boys Club of America. During his high school years, his athletic talents continued to shine as he played both football and basketball. His competitive spirit, determination, and love of the game were a reflection of the energy and enthusiasm he carried throughout his life.

Above all, Chuck was a family man. He found some of his greatest happiness in being surrounded by the people he loved. He enjoyed laughing, telling stories, entertaining others, and simply making memories with his family. His love was genuine, generous, and unconditional.

Chuck leaves to cherish his precious life and beautiful memory his devoted wife of 33 years, Michelle Coleman, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, memories, and companionship.

He also leaves his loving parents, Alfonzo and Gloria Moore; his children, Alfonzo Moore III, Jaquan Hairston, Alicia Moore, Janaya Cunningham, and Jalisa Moore of the home; his brother, Alonzo (Gerald) Moore; and his sister, Alicia (Honey) Moore; one neice Khira Price; two nephews Chris Lassiter; Keith Pince Jr.

His legacy will also live on through his seven beloved grandchildren, whom he loved dearly:

Draya Hairston, Famouz Hairston, Ava, Kenzleigh, Thiago Rojhas, Jaquan Hairston Jr., and Myheir. The love Chuck had for his grandchildren was undeniable, and the memories they shared with their grandfather will remain precious treasures for years to come.

He will also be lovingly remembered by his special cousins Andre, Tamp, Lil Man, and Donna, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones whom he cherished dearly.

And then there were his friends—the brothers he chose along life's journey. Chuck loved his friends deeply and considered them family. Not a day went by that he didn't mention them, tell a funny story about them, or share a memory that brought a smile to his face. Lenny Boo, Rodney, Joe, Shorty, Rod Dog, Ceddy Mac, Ant, Third and so many others were an Important part of Chuck's life. You all shared laughter, good times, memories, and a journey that Chuck treasured. He loved each of you dearly, and the bond you shared will never be forgotten

Chuck's life was a beautiful collection of relationships, laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. He had a way of making people feel welcome, making them laugh, and reminding them to enjoy the moments that mattered. His absence will leave an emptiness that words cannot fully express, but the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to fill the hearts of those who knew him.

Though Chuck is no longer with us in the physical sense, his spirit lives on through his wife children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, family, and friends. His laughter will echo in the stories told about him. His love will live in the hearts of those he touched And every cherished memory will serve as a reminder of the remarkable man he was

Chuck may have taken his final journey from this earthly life, but the impact he made will never fade. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, beloved son, brother, cherished family member, loyal friend, gifted athlete, and above all, a man who brought love and laughter wherever he went.

Rest peacefully, Chuck. Your work here is done, but your love and legacy will live on forever.
