Mr. Bobby L. Wilson, Sr went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 19, 2026

He was born on July 19, 1954 to the late Franklin S. Wilson, Sr. and Gloria Inez Wilson. In addition to his parents his brothers Freddie Lee Wilson and Franklin S. Wilson Jr preceded him in death. Bobby Wilson, Sr; was a member of Images of God Outreach Center. Bobby was a lifelong resident of this city, he graduated from East Forsyth High School. After high school he was a salesman for Pilot Life insurance, and Amway products. He pastored at House of Prayer Outreach Ministries before going to truck driving school were he received his CDL license and started driving for McElroy Truck Lines Inc. He retired from Winston Salem Transit Authority after 15 years of service.

Bobby L. Wilson, Sr leaves to cherish his memories to his loving children, Anthony ( Elease) Smith of Richmond, VA; Tamekia Wilson, Bobby Wilson Jr, LaKesha Wilson, and Bridget Simon all of the city; Fourteen grandchildren; Nine great-grandchildern; two nieces; two nephews; two sisters in law; a devoted loving friend and caregiver Vivian Wilson; cargiver Paris France with Touched By Grace and a host of cousins and friends. The family sincerely thanks everyone for the love, prayers, kindness, and support shown during this difficult time. We especially appreciate the exceptional care of the staff at Trellis Supportive Care.
