Bruce Webb of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, departed this life on Thursday, August 7, surrounded by the love and memories of family and friends who will cherish his legacy forever. Born February 11, 1958, in Brooklyn, New York, to Samuel Webb Jr. and Katie B. Webb, both of whom preceded him in death. He attended Springfield Gardens High School and carried throughout his life the values of perseverance, compassion, and service to others. Bruce was known for his kind heart and willingness to help those in need. He dedicated much of his time to serving others through the Prison Ministry and the Winston-Salem Food Bank. He was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. His commitment to uplifting and encouraging people reflected his generous spirit and deep compassion for his community.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bruce Webb Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Laverne Webb; his children, Shanequa Webb of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Brent Webb of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a host of grandchildren who brought him immense pride and happiness; his siblings: Gregory Webb (Denise) of Hempstead, New York; Anthony Webb of Queens, New York; Tracy Webb (Shermaine) of Greensboro, North Carolina; and Latrecia Webb of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; in-laws Teddy Wilson (Valerie) of Winston-Salem, Herman Wilson of Gulfport, Mississippi, and Kristie Braddy (Kevin) of Winston-Salem; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

Bruce will be remembered for his strength, generosity, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. His life touched many, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

"Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and forever dear." May he rest in eternal peace John 13: 34-35: A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
