Mr. Kelvin Deon
Wilson
Nov 6, 1968 — Oct 3, 2026
Mr. Kelvin Deon Wilson was born on November 6, 1968, the youngest child of Leroy and Ethel Wilson. On Saturday, October 3, 2026, after a brief illness, he passed away. In his youth, he often attended Spencer Memorial Christian Church in
Winston-Salem, North Carolina with his family. Kelvin grew up in the North Hills Community and graduated in 1987 from Mt. Tabor Senior
High School. There he participated in the usual school activities. He had been previously employed at a mattress manufacturing company in
Greensboro, North Carolina. A die-hard San Francisco 49ers fan, he had many spirited conversations with his family that consisted of many Dallas Cowboy fans. He had a great interest in cars, enjoyed detailing them, and listening to music.
Any “Old School” R&B song was his favorite jam.
Forever in our hearts, he will be loved for his wit and generous heart. He will always be remembered by children who would visit with the family.
Thoughtfully, he would make treat bags for them filled with candy. No family gathering or party will ever be the same without his loving spirit.
Among countless ancestors, he was also preceded in death by his father,Leroy Wilson, his sister, Sophia Wilson, an aunt, Hattie Lynch, his
uncle, Eddie Richardson, Jr., and his nephews, Gerald Atwater, Jr. and Trosean Richardson.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his children; two sons,Kelvin James and Keon (aka King); daughter, Brittany Wilson;granddaughter, Taylor Stryker; mother, Ethel Wilson; brothers, Warren Richardson, Troy Richardson, Tayron (Glenda) Wilson; sisters, Brenda
(Jerrold) Rogers, Lacreta (Tim) Douthit; and a host of nephews, nieces,great-nephews; and great-nieces. Kelvin is also survived by special
childhood friends and a host of cousins and friends in the community. Rest in Love, “Mama’s Baby”. Professional services entrusted to Douthit Funeral Services.
