Wheeler McQuinn Jones, Jr. departed this life on May 21, 2026. He was born on July 19, 1959 to the late Wheeler McQuinn Jones, Sr. and Shirley Hairston Jones.

Wheeler graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1978. Football was one of his favorite sports and he was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

He held several positions in industrial manufacturing and was a meat cutter in various grocery stores.

He never met a stranger, was full of laughter, love and he enjoyed making people laugh. We will deeply miss those early morning phone calls talking about life experiences and the goodness of God. He always said his good-byes to his loved ones with L-O-V-EBaby.

Wheeler is survived by his mother Shirley H. Jones of Walkertown, NC; three sisters, Carolyn Hairston of Winston-Salem, NC, Tammy (Darryl) Cherry of Walkertown, NC and Arnita (Lee) Sturdivant of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Christopher and Timothy Jones both of Walkertown, NC and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM, followed by the Memorial Service at 12:30 PM.
