Mrs. Nancy Pace Richmond, 76, formally of Winston-Salem, N. C. transitioned to her heavenly home in peace at the Baptist Hospitalon Sunday morning, June 19, 2022.
Nancy was the loving daughter of Willie Norman and Irene Shore Pace of Pfafftown, North Carolina where she grew up. She was educated in the Forsyth County Schools at Carver Consolidated High School, where she graduated in the 1963 class. She grew up in the Bethlehem A. M. E. Zion Church where she attended Sunday School, sang in the church choir and the Bethlehem Gospel Singers.
Nancy was gifted with an incredible voice and did not mind worshipping in songs to her loving Savior, Jesus Christ. She sang with the Inspirational Consolers as they praised and glorified the Lord throughout the Tri-State Area. After marriage she moved to Buffalo, New York with her husband, Author Eugene Richmond(deceased) and they became the proud parents of their adorable and loving daughter, Aulrtrice. While living in Buffalo she attended Erie Community College and later received training as a Certified Nursing Assistant before leaving Buffalo and returning to Winston-Salem.
Mrs. Richmond worked arduously for and retired from the Novant Health Systems. Prior to this company, she worked for Lakeside Insurance Agency for several years.
Nancy later moved to Booneville, North Carolina and attended the Tabernacle United Church of Christ under the Pastorate of, Pastor Marvin D. Harper, in Yadkinville, N. C.
She was a dedicated member involved in the music ministry, prayer and bible study and anywhere she was needed. She was well known throughout Forsyth and Yadkin Counties for her delicious cakes and the special dishes she prepared for her family and church family.

Mrs. Berlie Bailey, Mrs. Shirley Phillips, Mrs. Connie Inez Thomas, Sister-in-law, Mrs. Sharone Pace and her loving and dedicated friend, Mr. Jimmy Westmoreland. Preceding her in death were her parents, Willie Norman and Irene Pace, her siblings, Willie Pace, Viola Bridget, Ann Brewer, Rudy Pace and Randolph Pace, and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Nancy was sold out for Jesus and she is safely home with her Savior. A memorial service will be held Saturday June 25, 2022 at 11:00am from Douthit Funeral Services. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
