Obituary

A Life Well Lived
Pamela Nadine Mason departed from this earthly realm and transitioned to a Supreme destination on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born and preceded in death by the late William T. McMoore and Elizabeth Mason Deberry on November 11, 1955, in Winston-Salem, NC. She radiated a joyous and lively spirit that could brighten even the dullest of days. Her vibrant spirit and enthusiasm for life were evident in all she did. Whenever she felt grateful and touched by moments of beauty, she would express her appreciation with the heartfelt phrase, "thank you, Jesus." She said those words with a distinct tone, permeating them with genuine warmth and sincerity, making it clear how much faith and gratitude meant to her.

She was a devoted and nurturing mother who poured endless love into her daughters, always prioritizing their needs and dreams above her own. As a grandmother, she exuded warmth and affection that knew no bounds, filling her grandchildren's lives with joy and cherished memories. Her capacity for love illuminated the lives of everyone around her, touching countless hearts with her kindness and light. She had an incredible ability to open both her heart and her home, welcoming friends, family, and even strangers with open arms, creating a haven of acceptance and value. Through her actions, she beautifully exemplified Christ's love, demonstrating compassion and empathy in every interaction. Her unwavering strength and resilience in the face of life's challenges inspired those around her, reminding them of the power of perseverance.

She graduated from Atkins High School and attended Forsyth Technical Community College. For 18 years, she worked as an Office Administrator at Experiment in Self-Reliance (ESR). Later, she served as a Social Worker Assistant at Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools, from which she eventually retired. Pamela dedicated her life to Christ in 2010 and joined Agape Faith Church. She was a faithful member, actively serving in various ministries. She served in the Hospitality Ministry, the Harvest Hands Evangelism Team, and the Dream Center's clothing closet, Virtuous Women, and Extreme Makeover Life Groups. She served as the secretary for the Disciples of Transportation Outreach Ministry, coordinating transportation for members attending church, a responsibility she regarded as the most meaningful aspect of her ministry service.

She leaves behind a strong legacy, her two daughters, Andrea Mason (Frank) and DeShanna (James) Johnson; her brother, Alvin (Pam) Terrell; her sister Brenda Nelson; four grandchildren, DaQuan (Khadijah) Mason, TraQuan (Moriah) Mason, SeQuoya (Kejuan) Mason, YaQuiria Mason; and six great-grandchildren, Nina Mason, Alani Mason, Khai Mason, Messiah Mason, Jessaiah Mason, and Noah Mason; a god-granddaughter, Shayla Escalante and a devoted friend, Jesse Ward, each of whom holds a special place in her heart, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by all. Her legacy will undoubtedly continue to inspire and influence those she loved.
