Obituary

For I am ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:6-8
Pastor, Ellen Hunt was the third child born on November 7, 1951, to the late Mr. Roosevelt Hunt and Mrs. Vera Flowers- Hunt in Ocala Florida, Our Loving Heavenly Father in his infinite wisdom called his daughter, Pastor, Ellen Hunt on Monday, January 4, 2021 to the Promised Land and, behold, to a door standing open in heaven. The first voice which she heard was like a trumpet speaking, saying "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this, "Heaven is waiting on me" There she is joined by her parents and sister, the late Jessie Flowers Swift, Brother- In -Law, Eugene Swift, Aunt, Annie Palmer, Cousins, Judy Hubbard, Aubrey Mallard, Earl Porter, Kenyatta Jones, and other relatives.
As a child, she accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at St. Paul AME Church, where she served faithfully
Ellen attended the Public School of Marion County, Ocala Florida and graduated from Howard High School
In the midst of her journey, Ellen Hunt married her childhood sweet heart, Mr. Earmon Rucker Jr. and through that union three children was born. Angela Renay (Macon) Harris, Jesalyn Runette Rucker (Milton) Norfleet, Ruby Lee Rucker, Earmon (Crystal) Rucker II
Ellen's employment history includes, Swift Meat Packing, Florida Power, upon relocating to Kernersville, North Carolina, in 2001, Pastor Ellen was employed by Walmart Supercenter as a Door Greeter until 2008. She was truly loved by all and led a lot of souls to the Lord. She was the founder and Pastor of Salvation and Praise Cathedral, of Kernersville, North Carolina. Her voice was heard among many in the hedges and highway; Many Souls came to Jesus. Her favorite scripture, Habakkuk 2:2-3 2And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. 3For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
Ellen memory shall continue to live through those who love her and is survived by, Mr. Earmon Rucker Jr Daughters, Angela Renay (Macon) Harris, Ocala Fl., Jesalyn Runette Rucker (Milton) Norfleet, Winston-Salem, NC., Ruby Lee Rucker, Winston-Salem, NC., Son, Earmon (Crystal) Rucker III, Winston-Salem, NC. and God Daughter, Loretta Joyce, Albany Ga., Sisters, Dr. Runette (Bill-Deceased) Flowers-Williams, Decatur GA., Christine (Jeremiah) O'Kelley Jr., Riverdale, GA., Brothers, Rev. Roosevelt (Minnie) Hunt and Johnny (Laura) Hunt, Ocala Fl., Vincent (Rosalyn) Hunt, Conyers, GA., A special cousins, Debra Butler ,Ocala Fl., Barbara Holmes, Orlando Fl., Edith Adams, Virginia Ferguson, Jessica Hadley-Brown Ocala Fl., Seven Grandchildren, she also leaves a host of other loving relatives, nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 12:00 pm from Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
