Patricia Faye Hardeman was born November 15, 1957 at Katie B
Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. Pat was the second child
born to the late Hosea and Odessa Hardeman. She was called into eternal rest
on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Pat accepted Jesus Christ into her life as a
young woman in the 1980s. Pat was member of Powerhouse of Deliverance in
Greensboro, NC early on in her Christian walk then later joined
Uncompromising Word Fellowship Church in Winston-Salem, NC where she
was a member for 10 years. For the last several years Pat was a member of
Global Restoration Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Pat enjoyed serving the Lord in ministry at Global Restoration Center where she was a faithful member that regularly served as a communion altar worker as well as involved herself in missionary work through sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. She graduated from North Forsyth Senior High School in 1977. She was employed by Hanesbrands for 15 years and retired from the Winston-Salem Forsyth County School system in 2018 after 10 years of service. On September 27, 1987, she married Tony Garner. Pat and Tony are
the proud parents of three children, Rico Stancil(Renee), Jamaal Garner, and Tameka Garner. Together, Pat and Tony are doting grandparents to Jemerie Garner, Marckesha Sims, Mayanna Garner, Tamoryia Stone, Tamya Stone, and Risjona Ingram Stancil. Pat was woman of God, devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Along with Tony, their children, and grandchildren Pat leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Carol Oliver(Bernard) – Atlanta, GA; her brothers Michael Covington(deceased), Kenneth Hardeman(Lisa) – Winston-Salem, NC, her cousin Matt Hardeman(Sylvia) – Atlanta, GA and a host of beloved relatives and friends from Atlanta, GA and Winston-Salem, NC. Pat had a special place in heart for the Covington family - Winston-Salem, NC (Powerhouse of Deliverance Church, Greensboro, NC), her God-sister, First Lady Lisa Finkley, and Godmother, Henrietta Rattley. Also, Pat leaves behind several brothers and sisters in law of the Garner family that will truly miss her. The family gatherings with Pat, her smile, and her laugh will truly be missed byus all.
Along with enjoying good times with family and friends, keeping an
immaculately clean and serene home for her family was a must for Pat. Pat
enjoyed travelling. Her dream of travelling to Hawaii was fulfilled when her and Tony vacationed in Hawaii in 2018. Pat will be missed by all that knew and loved her. It is written in 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 that "Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. (For we walk by faith, not by sight:), We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the
body, and to be present with the Lord." Although, Pat is absent from us in body not in memory be encouraged that she is now present with the Lord
for ever more. A public viewing will be held Monday, December 7, 2020 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. A private services will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2020 and interment will follow in Gardens of Memory. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
