Rebecca Welborn was born April 18, 1957 in Yadkin County to Thomas & Dora Wilborn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Dora Wilborn; brother, David Lee Wilborn; sisters, Iris Maxine Wilborn and Trenai Wilborn; niece, Shannon Kenard Wilborn; nephew, Shawn; Grandparents, Louis and Edna Wilborn and Grace Hampton.
She departed this life on October 13, 2017 as God in His infinite wisdom, called Rebecca from labor to rest at Forsyth Medical Center after a short period of illness. Rebecca was a member of Transformation Ministries of Winston-Salem, NC. Rebecca was a certified nursing assistant and caregiver in which she loved serving others until her health failed. Left to cherish her memories are two daughters, Robin W. Hairston and Carisa Wilborn; one son, Jeremy Wilborn all of Winston-Salem NC; Grandchildren, Mr. & Mrs. Cory Wilborn, Randell and Kristy Hariston, Cameron and Derrick Wilborn and Whitteny Frazier; two great grandchildren, Kashia and Chashewn Hariston; One great great grandchild, Kilioni Hariston. Four brothers, Thomas and Sarah Wilborn of Winston-Salem,NC, Kenneth R. Wilborn of Atlanta, GA, Steve Wilborn of Richmond VA, Kent (Trent) and Deloris Wilborn of Gastonia, NC. Four sisters, Nancy and Curtis Wilks, Gaylynn Earl,Shelia Wilborn and Beverly Knight all of Winston-Salem, NC.; special friends, Alonzo Hart, Robin Moore, Beatrice Brice, Deon Hubbard and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Douthit Funeral Services of Winston-Salem, with Overseer Dorothy Mcguire of Life Changing Church of Charlotte,NC officiating and Bishop Stephone Samuels of Transformation Ministries of Winston-Salem as Eulogist. Family visitation will begin at 12pm. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Winston-Salem, NC. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
