Rickey Leon MillerJr., born on June 19,1971, in Winston Salem, NC, was a cherished member of his community. He was the beloved son of Mrs. Mamie Miller and Rickie L. Miller Sr. Rickey grew up attending the Winston Salem Forsyth County School system, where he laid t h e foundation for his future endeavors.
A gifted barber, trade Rickey found oy in his work, using his talents to connect with others and uplift their spirits. Beyond his profession, he had a passion for watching drag racing and cheering on his favorite teams, the Steelers and UNC. He found solace in the simple pleasures of
life, especially when grilling out for his beloved family. Rickey was preceded i n death by his grandparents, Helen and Rawley Love, and his mother, Mamie Miller and his maternal grandparents Lee and Florence Porter. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished
memories, survived by his father, Rickie Miller Sr., of Pfafftown, NC, his devoted wife, Sherryl A. Miller, and their children: Analauni Frierson, Rickie L. Miller III, and Taja Mitchelle, as well as his stepdaughter, Jelisa Smallwood, and 2 granddaughters, all of whom he held dear.
In addition to his immediate family, Rickey is remembered fondly by his sisters, Tiffany Thomas of Pfafftown, NC, and Latonya Hairston Martin of the city. He was also deeply loved by his aunts, Bridgette Miller Crawford of Rural Hall and Terita (Michael) King, of the city, along with a multitude of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched with his kindness and warmth. Rickey's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and memories he shared with those he held dear. A memorial service will be held Thursday May 16, 2024, at 11"00am from Douthit's. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Serivces.
