Obituary

Mr. Robert Lee Johnson was called home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 29, 2023. He was born April 10, 1953, in Florence, S.C. As a child, Robert moved to Winston-Salem, N.C. with his family, where he attended school at La Cook and Paisley. Robert worked multiple jobs, eventually even working his own landscaping business for a brief time. Robert was always very outspoken and said what he felt, but with the love of Jesus Christ, he somehow became humble and quiet. In later, years a lot of his time was spent honoring God the best way he knew how. Whether it was studying Gods word, cleaning the church, attending every church service he could, or becoming a member and then deacon of New Liberty Full Gospel Baptist Church, under Rev. Dr. Linda Beal. He Also became a member of Sanctuary of Praise and Worship. Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father Annie B. Johnson and Leroy Johnson, Sr., three brothers, three sisters, and his wife Catherine C. Johnson whom he loved dearly. He leaves to cherish his memory his stepchildren, Jerrene C. Abbitt and James B. Campbell Jr., His brothers Joseph Johnson and Kinney Johnson, who was devoted and never left his side, Kinney there are not enough words to thank you enough. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
