Obituary

Deacon Rodney Lowellyn Fletcher known as Uncle Pluckie went to be with the Lord on December 18, 2020. Rodney was born on April 28, 1962 to the union of Johnny and Annie Fletcher in Douglas Georgia. Rodney was a Deacon of United Houses of Grace & Mercy. He loved the Lord and was a dedicate member under the leadership of Apostle Carolyn Lazenby. He was a husband, dad, an uncle(dad) and a great friend.
He was true sports fan. His favorite team in football was a Carolina Panthers, basketball UNC-Chapel Hill and favorite color was Carolina Blue. He was also a true video gamer. He trained all his nephews the art of being a gamer.
Survivors include his wife Debra Fletcher and son Darius Wardlow. He survived by his parents Johnny and Annie Fletcher; his sisters Carla Smyre, Erica McKenzie, Yakema Steele; his brothers Michael Curry and John Fletcher; his nephews Aaron Steele, Terrence Steele, Justin Brannon (Ambriana), Cornell Smyre, Bryan McKenzie and Malcolm Curry; nieces Vanessa Washington (Antonio) and Maya Curry. He had a host of grandchildren, godchildren, aunties, uncles, cousins, church family and friends. There will be no public viewing. A private memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
