Ronald Gene Fleming Sr., was born in Winston-Salem, NC. on June 14, 1948 to the late Landson Hubert Blackburn and Catherine R. Fleming. Ronald passed on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at his home 1607 Thurmond Street, Winston-Salem, NC.

He attended Paisley High School in Winston-Salem, NC. Ronald was a veteran of United States Navy, serving for four years with an honorable discharge. He was employed at AT&T (Western Electric), retiring in 1982. He later rejoined the work force as an employee of Sun Chemicals.

Left to cherish his many memories are his Wife Cathleen Benton Fleming, Seven Children: Ronald Jr. (Carolyn), Ronda, Renita (Zirus), Merton III (Adrienne), Rodrick (Trylise), Reginald and Shanese, nineteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. He truly enjoyed fellowshipping and spending time with his family and friends.
A memorial service will hold Monday November 27, 2023, at 1pm from Calvery Hill Greater Chruch of Deliverance. There will be no public viewing. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
