Susan D. Greene was born August 15, 1970, to Kerry Wayne Greene, Sr. and Stephanie Goodson-Greene. She departed this life on Thursday, April 24, 2025, following a courageous battle with an illness of several years. A generous person by nature, she continued to give, even in death, saving three lives as an organ donor. Susan was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools where she honed her reading and writing skills. She became an avid reader and journaled prolifically, chronicling her eventful life and experiences. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Karen Greene, her daughter

Nicea Lewis, her son Brandon Goodson, and her niece Jabrea Greene. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Dymon "Rudy" Burns, Damion (Darreka) Burns), and Gerret Jones. her brothers Paul (Sonja) Corley, Kerry Greene, Jr., and Tauren Little; and one sister Talisa Greene. In addition, she will live on in the love and fond memories of 15 grandchildren: Jordin, Cherubyn, Laileigh, Levi, Denim, Kason, Damion Jr., Dmari, Jalen, Oliviah, Lauryn- Madison, D'mya, D'zelda, D'veyah, and Destin. Susan also leaves a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, uncles, and friends who will miss her greatly. A public viewing will be held Friday April 2, 2025, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Saturday May 3, 2025, at 11:00 am from Douthit's. The family will receive friends at 10:30am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
