Terry Jason Garner was born on January 4, 1984, in Winston-Salem, NC to Alvin T. Garner and Beverly S. Garner. He departed this life on December 9, 2022, to be with His Lord and Savior, as he was surrounded by his family, at home.

Terry attended Forsyth County Public Schools. He loved the Lord and attending church passionately! You would always find Terry watching and listening to Christian television broadcast, music, reading his Bible, praying, praising God, and playing Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

Terry was a very humble young man, who wished the best for everyone. He will be missed by many of his family, neighbors, dialysis friends, church friends, and associates.

He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories, his mother, Beverly S. Garner of the home. Father, Minister Alvin T. Garner (Elouise) of W-S, NC, his devoted brother Corey Garner, sister Hope Scales and brother Phillip Scales all of W-S, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of his life will be held at Douthit Funeral Services, 515 Specialty Park Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. Public viewing will be Friday, December 16, 2022, 1:00 -5:00 pm. Funeral services will be Saturday December 17, 2022, with visitation from 1:00 - 1:30 pm, immediately followed by Homegoing service. The Interment will follow the service, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 3250 High Point Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27107 Arrangements are in the care Douthit Funeral Services.
