Obituary

Timothy Davis of Winston-Salem, NC, transitioned on June 27,2024. He was born on October 18, 1956, the fifth child of the late Bishop A.D. Davis and Mother Betty B. Davis. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Dock Davis, III ("DJ"), Samuel (Denice) Davis, and Bishop David (Lenora) Davis.



Timothy Davis graduated from Parkland High School, where he was a gifted athlete on the football field, the baseball diamond, and in the boxing ring. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Army, completing basic training at Fort Bragg, NC.



He was well known for his cooking ability. The entire family loved his fried fish. He was a jack of all trades, capable of fixing or repairing almost anything around the house. Determined to finish his education, he went back to college in his fifties and graduated with an Associates Degree in Business Administration.



Left to cherish his precious memories: two sons, Timothy Partman and Mark Partman; six brothers, Matthew (Denese), Isaiah (Vickie), Thomas (Clara), Daniel, James, and Titus (Latoya); three sisters, Betty Davis Simpson, Vickie Davis Boyd (Waddell), and Debbie Lewis, his closest friend, Cassandra Craig; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives,

and friends. A public viewing will be held Friday July 5, 2024, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's, Funeral services will be held Saturday July 6, 2024, at 1pm from Mt. Olive Apostolic Church, 1200 east 11th Street, Winston-Salem, NC. The family will receive friends at 12:30 pm. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
