Trixie Lorraine Stuckey Baker, who was loved by so many, departed at home surrounded by family and friends on July 16, 2023. She triumphed over her 25 plus... years battle with MS and gained her wings.
Trixie was born in Winston Salem on March 11, 1968 to Margaretta Stuckey Hines and Willie Stuckey.
Trixie was the loving wife to Julius Melvin Baker for the last 35 years and the mother to their five children. She raised her children with love and devotion in Winston Salem with her husband.
Trixie attended Caroline Beauty College. As a licensed cosmetologist, she opened her own hair salon, known as Trixie's Hair Ministry. Trixie was known for her gifted hands, ministry in the church, and her love for the youth. Her hobbies included shopping, playing spades, outings, and family gatherings. She was most proud of her business and her work in the ministry, where she worked tirelessly as an Evangelist of the Gospel.
She is preceded in death by her father, Willie Stuckey Jr. and Grandchildren: Terence, Heaven and Justin.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband - Julius Melvin Baker
She is survived by her Children Antonia, Sonya,
Julius III, Keenan, and Joshua. Grandchildren Jada, Marcus, Jayson, Scyona, Khiamia, Jordan, Nadia, Amiia, Amani, Keenan jr. and Amari.
Aside from the children and husband whom she doted on, Trixie is survived by Mother- Margaretta Stuckey Hines and her seven sisters: Tangela, Pontheola, Twanna, Trina, Valencia, Tracy, Tammy... and a host of family & friends near and far. She will truly be missed.

You did not take your vows lightly. You meant it when you said... "Til death, do us part." And in doing so, you gave exemplary care to your wife over the years. A public viewing will be held Monday 24, 2023 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 25, 2023, at 12pm from Redeemed Missionary Bpatist Church. The family will receive friend at 11:30am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
