Ms. Wanda Kay Morgan of Lumberton, NC daughter of the late Joseph Edward Morgan and Geneva Pegues Morgan, was born November 16, 1967 in Winston-Salem, NC. She departed this life on January 10, 2021 at Southeastern Hospital in Lumberton NC,. Wanda was educated in the Forsyth County School System. She graduated from Parkland High School in 1986, She attended Roberson Tech in Lumberton, NC where she earned her child development degree with a 4.0 gpa. Wanda worked at the Nana Corner daycare. Wanda had a God given gift of singing, she loved singing with her family "The Morgan Singers", she also sang with the Baldwin Singers, GSL young adult choir, she sang and was choir director at Faith Cathedral Church. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services. Wanda was the Pastor of Rock of Deliverance for a while, Then she attended and was a Associate Minister at Faith Cathedral in Red Springs, NC., Pastor Curlie Morrison. She leaves to cherish her memories 2 sons Kelvin and Tyler, Fiance Tory Ramsey of Lumberton, NC. Her mother Geneva , 2 brothers, Charlie (Sara) and Joe (Sabrina) bith of Winston-Salem, 2 nephews Chris(Chereeta) Leasburg, NC, Charles Jr, of Winston-Salem, NC, 2 nieces, Jasmine of Greensboro and Rosalyn of Kernesville, NC, Special sister Shonda Watson. A j=host of Uncles, Aunts, Family and Friends. A public viewing will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Private funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
