Willam "Bill" Brock was born on August 4, 1937, to the late Ambrose and Pearlie Brock. On February 26, 2024, he went peacefully to his Heavenly home while surrounded by his loved ones.

At an early age, Bill joined Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist Church to become a life-long member and attended Davie County Schools system where he received his education. All while fulfilling his missionary duties, Bill also served as a solider in the United States Army and then later he became a Trustee, Sunday School Superintendent and an Usher. Among his dedicated roles throughout his life, Bill was also a hard worker and the sole provider for his family, taking on multiple lines of work such as employment with Gra-Mac and a bus driver for the school system.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife Annie "Ruth" Brock, his parents and several brothers and sisters.

Bill leaves to cherish with loving memories: two daughters Hazel (Simon) Brock-Rivera and Kennen Brock; three grandchildren Wendy (Terrance) Brock-Davis, Tony Rivera and Gary Redman; 2 great-grandchildren Jamiaha and Javon Carter. Also, one brother Bishop James Ijames; sister Rosa Lee (Jimmy) Arnold; Two special nephews Lonnie Horne and George Brock Jr; Two special nieces Wanda Horne-Fair and Rose Mary Brock, along with a host family and Friends. A Special Thank you to Kyle, Nancy, Shirl and the rest of WellCare Hospice for your kind services. A public viewing will be held Thursday February 29, 2024, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Friday March 1, 2024, at 12:30 pm from Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Mocksville and interment will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends at 12pm.Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
