Mr. Willie Junior Thompson age 78 was the son of the late Mrs. Mary Rivers Thompson and Mr. Willie Thompson Sr., He was born on April 15, 1944, in Lovonia Ga. He was formally a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church for 25 years where he served in prison ministry teaching Evangelism Classes and sing on the spiritual choir. He retired from J B Hunt trucking company after 47 years. He was married to Mrs. Christine Neely Thompson for 52 years. He is survived by his wife; four children Robert, Dawn, Willie Jr and Michael all of Winston-Salem. Three grandchildren Mechelle (Markel) Bell of Concord N.C. Chris Thompson of the home and Michael Donya of Winston-Salem. Two brothers Ruben "Ben" (Gloria) Thompson and Robert (Gwendolyn) both of Sailsbury, NC. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins and friend. A public viewing will be held Tuesday May 31, 2022, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 1, 2022, at 12pm from Galilee Missionary Baptist Chruch. The family will receive friends at 11:30am.
