Reverend Winnie Inez Hickman Speas was born on July 15, 1938 to the late Nomie & Essie Hickman of Westfield, North Carolina. She went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2021. She retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. She was a loyal member of Center Grove A.M.E Zion Church. Reverend Winnie was a woman of many hats and served as a Local Minister, Deaconess, Missionary and Choir Member. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a son Gregory A. Speas, a host of Brothers, Sister and In- Laws. She leaves to cherish loving husband William C. Speas, of Tobaccoville, NC. Orlando Hickman of WS, Rev. Richard (Sandra) Hickman of Kernersville, NC. Jonathan of Atlanta, GA. Gary (Sherry) of WS, NC and Antionette (Denise) WS, NC. 19 Grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren & host of great- great grandchildren. Sisters: Runetta Payne, Vira E. Speas, Audrey J. Norwood of Tobaccoville, NC. Rev. Wanda (Rockford) Penn of WS, NC. Brothers: Billy R. Hickman, of WS, NC and Gary Hickman of Pinnacle, NC and a host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Special Friends Sharon Speas and Lorenzo Glenn other relatives and friends. A public viewing will be held Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 2pm from Center Grove AME Zion Church in Tobaccoville, NC. The family will receive friend at 1:30 at the church.
