Yvonne " aka E" Pinkney was born July 30, 1941, to the late Fred and Susie Pinkney. She departed this life on Friday January 6, 2023, after an extended illness. Yvonne grew up in Piney Grove Community on Indiana Avenue Winston-Salem, NC. She was of the Baptist faith and as Child attended Piney Grove Baptist Church. Yvonne attended Carver High School in Winston-Salem. She also attended the Senior Care Center at Mount Zion Baptist Church for several years. Yvonne spent her last four years at Mongolia Creek assisted living facility. Miss Pinkney was preceded in death by her parents, A brother Fred Pinkney Jr., William Pinkney, Allen Pinkney Sr., Melvin Pinkney and Thomas lee Pinkney. Two sister Mary Henderson and Pearlevelyn Green. Yvonne is survived by her brothers Willie Lee Pinkney and Milton Pinkney. Close nieces and Newphers Rayford Henderson, Sonya Henderson and Reginal Green. A host of other niece's nephews, cousin and friends. A public viewing will be held Thursday January 12, 2023, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral services will be held Friday January 13, 2023, at 1pm from Douthit's and interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens, the family will receive friends. at 12:30pm. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Services.
