Zyon Fritzgerald Greely, 24, was born on December 10, 2000, in Atlanta, GA to Lafayette F. Greely, Sr. and M. Allison Gore. He departed this life on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
He attended Dekalb County and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. He was an employee of Strickland Brothers in Winston-Salem.
Zyon was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle, Godson, and friend who will be remembered for his warm personality, kind heart, and infectious smile. He loved his family and never hesitated to help when needed. Even at an early age, he had a heart for spending time with the elderly and was adamant about giving to the homeless. Some of his hobbies included cooking, creating music, and tinkering with cars.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lafayette F. Greely, Jr. (LaJ) and paternal grandfather, Robert L. Greely.
Those who remain to cherish his memory are his devoted parents Lafayette F. Greely, Sr. and M. Allison Gore, two sisters, Ashley Greely and Allyson "AJae" Gore, paternal grandmother, Dorothy Greely, maternal grandparents, Michael and Maeretha Hopson, maternal grandfather, Solomon Gore, Sr., Godparents, Sidney and Mischelle Hampton, four uncles, Anthony Greely, Michael Greely, Solomon Gore, Jr., Stephen Gore (Lynette), three aunts, Jackie Dubose, Valerie Allen (Moe), Adrienne Terrell (Walter) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A public viewing will be held Friday March 7, 2025, from 1pm until 5pm at Douthit's. Funeral service will be held Saturday March 8, 2025, at 12pm from Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 11:00 am. Arrangements are in the care of Douthit Funeral Service.
